Welding Specialist

About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team located in Burnie, Tasmania.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of transport equipment and shipping line equipment, fabrication and some site work.
">This role requires a trade-qualified individual with strong service orientation, sound knowledge of welding and workshop practices, and ability to work safely.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Carrying out instructions within set timeframes
- Working safely
- Completing time sheets and relevant work sheets
- Completing repairs and maintenance as directed
- Reporting damages, faulty equipment and/or accidents
- Participating in OH&S & OH&S Toolbox meetings
- Sound knowledge of welding and workshop practices
- Strong service orientation
- Understanding requirements for handling dangerous goods
- Competence in MIG welding techniques
- Competence in using oxy and acetylene equipment and hand and powered tools
- Sound understanding of providing a service to clients in a third-party contracted logistics
