About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WHSEQ Advisor to join our team at Davies Stewart Consulting Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project managers in implementing safe systems of work to minimize risk to quality, environment, and health and safety for all personnel.
  • Promote safety awareness throughout the site workforce and review and advise on improvement to site/project-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality plans.
  • Review and report incidents, HSEQ non-conformances, and near-miss investigations to prevent recurrence and participate in incident investigations when required.
  • Support managing an effective relationship and communication with clients and stakeholders, including the general public.
  • Promote a safe customer-focused team culture on site and maintain a sound working knowledge of company safety procedures, legislation, and project management plans.
  • Ensure all personnel working on the site have undergone safety induction training and contribute to reviewing SWMS and JSEA's and monitoring the full and proper implementation of agreed safe work methods.
  • Be responsible for coordinating Contract Pre-Start Up and ensuring all actions are closed out prior to the commencement of the project.
  • Assist in the establishment of Project Site Folders and provide First Aid treatment and ensure the proper care of injured persons.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment and competency in general software suites, WHSEQ systems, and project management platforms.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a site WHSEQ role.
  • Certificate IV in OHS or current studies in this field.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current White Card.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Have a clean police record and ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in safety management systems.
  • Experience in the HAZOP and CHAZOP process.
