Healthcare Support Role

The key responsibilities of this position include greeting and interviewing potential donors, assessing their eligibility and suitability to donate, and creating a favorable donor experience.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess donor eligibility and suitability
  • Create a positive donor experience
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up equipment for blood collection
  • Collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets safely and efficiently
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist with scheduling their next donation
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve collection targets

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • No prior experience in blood collection is necessary; comprehensive training combines on-the-job practice with online learning
  • Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
  • Occasionally lift between 9–22.7 kgs
  • Support and foster a strong team culture
  • Frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down equipment
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
