Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our curriculum and mentoring colleagues to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Lead the implementation of our curriculum in consultation with the Educational Leader and other Teachers.
  • Mentor and support colleagues towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the Educational Leader and Team to assess children and evaluate learning.
  • Collaborate and communicate with parents/families.
  • Plan, prepare and implement appropriate learning programs and environments for children.
  • Work within a legal and ethical framework based on NQS and national regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
  • Passion for biblically-based Christian education.
  • A personal commitment to our ethos, Statement of Faith, and Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Appropriate qualification in Early Childhood Education.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the standards set by the National Quality Framework, the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS) process including ongoing review.
  • Thorough understanding and implementation of a play-based curriculum.
  • Behaviour management skills reflecting restorative practices.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents and students.
  • Strong problem solving, flexibility, priority setting and time management skills.
  • Ability to cope effectively under pressure in an emergency or stressful situation.
  • Competent computer skills to manage documentation, learning resources and use of technology tools to support learning.
