Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and diligent Cleaner/Production Associate to join our team at the Margate Salmon Processing Facility. As a key member of our production staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in industrial cleaning to develop their skills further in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all equipment and machinery are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next day's production, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize processing equipment and machinery to meet or exceed established quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention, and implement effective solutions to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth operation of the facility, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform manual cleaning tasks, including handling heavy machinery and equipment, while prioritizing your own safety and the safety of others.

Requirements:

  • You must be available to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, during the PM shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.).
  • Prior experience in industrial cleaning is highly desirable, but comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
  • You should be physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment, and be committed to maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety are essential qualities for this position.
  • Experience in food processing, quality control, and hygiene practices would be advantageous, but full training will be provided to ensure your understanding of these critical areas.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
