At MMG Australia, we are committed to creating a leading international mining company for a low-carbon future.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Dugald River Mine in Queensland, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining site maintenance strategies across all equipment and infrastructure using ARMS program OnePM.

In addition, they will be accountable for Masterdata changes and creation in SAP.

This is a permanent full-time role based on an 8/6 roster, with drive-in drive-out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa or fly-in fly-out from Townsville.

The salary for this role includes a competitive annual salary package of approximately $120,000 AUD, plus annual bonus and generous local allowances.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive planning and scheduling experience in a mineral processing fixed plant maintenance operations environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strategy creation and failure mode elimination
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work area responsibilities as directed by management
  • Technical trades qualification or Engineering qualifications in the appropriate discipline from a recognised institution
  • Manual driver's license
  • High level understanding of common Maintenance practices and standards
  • Exceptional knowledge of SAP in particular SAP PM and Master Data objects

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating, scoping and planning maintenance work orders that enable effective utilisation of resources, including personnel, contractors, materials and documentation to produce the rough-cut plan and maintain the 12 weeks look ahead effectively
  • Build and communicate accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all maintenance activities, ensuring that they are adequately resourced (materials and labour) and capacity levelled
  • Ensure all Work Orders flagged for rescheduling are considered for the next available schedule
  • Attend and prepare the weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources
  • Review Subsequent Notification comments to ensure accurate data is collected in the field
  • Continuously improve maintenance practices to enable effective maintenance performance
  • Development of task lists for reoccurring work to support effective planning.
  • Maintain site master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews (as advised by Improvement Engineers), and identified quality errors
  • Manage expenditure within budget levels and assist in the development of maintenance budgets
