Safety Specialist

Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Safety Advisor to join their team working across the Smart Link Alliance contract. This is a full-time permanent role working across a rotating roster out of our Pyrmont office.
Key Responsibilities- Implement, monitor, and govern SHEQ programs, processes, and systems into the project.
- Drive consistency in line with business and client requirements.
- Manage the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project.
- Ensure risk assessment and risk registers are developed and maintained.
- Embed Ventia's Critical Risk Protocols in the project.
- Review and seek improvements to SHEQ through personal example and behaviors.
- Promote a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment.
- Meet TfNSW Specification quality requirements.
- Support supervisors in conducting toolbox talks and safety shares.
- Undertake SWMS and risk assessments on complex construction tasks.
- Ability to work a rotating roster (2 weeks day shift, followed by 2 weeks night shift).
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Current drivers license.
