Sr. Operations Management Role

As a Sr. Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of a youth justice precinct. Your primary objective will be to champion operational reform across key areas, including program delivery, infrastructure use, rostering, and staff development.

  • The Department of Justice and Community Safety is responsible for the statutory supervision of children and young people in the criminal justice system.

Youth Justice Custodial Services aim to engage children and young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation, within a safe and secure environment.

The Opportunity

  • You will strategically plan and manage the delivery of highly specialised operational services in a complex environment.

About You
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience within a Correctional, Youth Justice, or relevant Human Services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of current legislative requirements pertaining to a custodial environment.
  • Experience leading and managing a team to deliver services in a complex environment.
  • A Certificate IV in Youth Justice, or higher degree in related fields, are highly regarded in all Youth Justice Custodial Services direct care roles.
