At Costa House in Lara, Victoria, we're seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our team and make a meaningful impact every day.

The Organisation is a rapidly growing, not-for-profit aged care provider operating across Tasmania, Victoria, and New South Wales. We're known for providing great care to our residents and a supportive working environment for our employees.

The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for delivering competent personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the direction of the senior clinical team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to assist residents in maintaining independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in progress notes; reporting such to the EN/RN.
  • Check residents' daily menu requirements.
  • Attend to duties as allocated or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
  • Any other tasks not defined but within the employee's skills, as directed by the organisation.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Relevant Certificate III Qualification.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in residential aged care.
