Geotechnical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the design and construction of renewable energy infrastructure.

The Central-West Orana project is a significant undertaking that requires the expertise of a dedicated geotechnical professional. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will support the Engineering Department in providing scheduling, quality assurance, and project management support on all geotechnical-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Geotechnical Manager in managing the delivery of works of all Geotechnical activities.
  • Supervise the Construction Department and Subcontractors in ensuring work carried out is compliant with regulatory and Deed requirements.
  • Identify potential design issues and provide contingency solutions.
  • Review design modifications and provide technical advice.
  • Provide required data for internal and client reports.
  • Support the Project's requirements in delivering against safety, quality, regulatory, legislative, environmental, safety, and cost requirements.
  • Track and document the approval process to ensure timely submissions and responses.
  • Deliver foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements for transmission towers and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (BS in Geology or Engineering Geology).
  • 3+ years' experience in Transmission Line infrastructure projects or similar large construction projects.
  • Tier 1 contractor experience.
  • Understanding of construction techniques and methodologies.
  • Effective relationship management with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Well-developed time management, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
