Medical-Legal Expert Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our legal team by providing exceptional medical-legal expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical science and/or law, with a keen understanding of medical terminology, guidelines, practices, and protocols.

Responsibilities will include conducting initial client interviews, drafting medical chronologies, and collaborating with the legal team to deliver outstanding client care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting initial client interviews to understand their unique situation and build trusting relationships.
  • Drafting medical chronologies and supporting legal documentation to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborating with the Medical Law team to ensure seamless delivery of client care.
  • Partnering with the contact centre team to identify new opportunities and manage enquiries to resolution.
  • Initiating and nurturing robust, quality relationships with clients and assisting them to gain access to local support.

Requirements:

  • Progression towards or completed qualifications in Biomedical Science and/or Law is preferred but not essential.
  • A working knowledge of medical terminology, medical guidelines, practices, and protocols.
  • Tenacity for complex problem-solving and a natural curiosity to listen to clients to determine the right pathway to assistance.
  • Demonstrated phone-based customer service experience for clients who have experienced varying degrees of trauma.
