AI Research Developer

Join our world-class research group and contribute to cutting-edge projects at the Centre for Augmented Reasoning.
The postdoctoral researcher will be supervised by Dr Ehsan Abbasnejad and also involve researchers of the Australian National University. This role contributes to building a world-class research capability in machine learning, demonstrating its potential and impact on industries in Australia.
This project aims to develop the next generation of machine learning to be robust and generalise beyond the training data. We'll access more data using search engines and incorporate underlying generative processes into the model.
The outcomes will contribute to next-generation algorithms for vision and language tasks, improving inference performance.
To succeed, you'll need:
- A PhD in computer science or related discipline
- Programming experience and expertise in Python and relevant deep learning libraries
- Expert knowledge in natural language processing, vision-language models, deep learning, and applied robotic vision
- A track record of publications in top-tier machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and/or robotics conferences and/or journals
- Fluency in written and spoken English
