Professional Engineer for Aircraft Tooling and GSE Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to lead our client's strategic tooling asset management program at Mascot Airport.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to influence the full life cycle of aircraft tooling assets.

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies for aircraft tooling.
  • Oversee compliance with ISO 55000 standards and ensure optimal through-life support strategies.
  • Liaise with OEMs to manage and extend tooling maintenance life.
  • Lead engineering investigations and failure analysis for tooling issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specification authority for aircraft tooling
  • Manage maintenance tasks, repair, and modification programs
  • Oversee tooling compliance to Australian and international standards

Engineering & Technical Deliverables:

  • Implement 3D modelling (CAD) in design validation
  • Research and assess advanced manufacturing for tooling innovation
  • Ensure due diligence and safety through rigorous performance verification and testing

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in asset management and maintenance under ISO 55000
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, WHS, and Safety in Design
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience managing engineering projects in high-pressure environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
