Aircraft Tooling Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Tooling Specialist to join our team in Sydney.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in tooling maintenance and repair, with the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform tooling and equipment service, maintenance, and rectification tasks within an asset management system framework.
  • Coordinate service and repairs to aircraft tooling and equipment while ensuring that appropriately prioritized processes support minimize the impact on customer operations.
  • Make recommendations for greater efficiency and more effective pending maintenance problems and trends.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to company and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
  • Record workflows to the appropriate asset management information systems.
  • Work in accordance with safety management systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade certificate (Avionics/Electrical trade certificate or equivalent)
  • Relevant Aircraft Tooling or plant and equipment maintenance trade experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of tooling or plant and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Current electrical contractors or supervisors license
  • Current driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills; interpersonal skills, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Previous asset maintenance experience would be highly regarded
  • Proven ability in technical problem-solving ability and asset maintenance experience
