Infection Prevention Specialist

MOR. Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to lead our infection control practices in a hospital setting in Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all services provided meet best practice standards, minimizing the risk of infection for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert knowledge and advice on infection prevention and management
- Develop and implement effective infection control strategies
- Lead clinical education and training programs for staff
- Monitor and report infection control data
- Collaborate with the Executive team to promote a culture of safety and quality
- Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Postgraduate qualification relevant to Infection Prevention and Control
- Current Immunisation/Vaccination Certificate or working towards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Considerable recent experience in infection control practice within an acute care setting
