Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our night shift team at our Tamworth site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for their next challenge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all colleagues within the team are trained in their respective tasks, adhering to quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) rules and procedures whilst meeting or exceeding operational requirements.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, experience in leading teams within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, automation and multi-channel, as well as good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, leading and motivating the team to achieve challenging operational key performance indicators (KPIs), leading the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, and ensuring compliance with QHSE rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, leading and motivating the team to achieve challenging operational KPIs
  • Leading the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, and ensuring compliance with QHSE rules and procedures
  • Actively managing available resource and utilising staff where possible
  • Maintaining a constant presence within the warehouse, delivering shift briefs and preparing handovers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, automation and multi-channel
  • Good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop the team to achieve challenging operational KPIs
