Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team of industry leaders. The successful candidate will provide practical, commercially minded legal advice that supports our strategy.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role in which you'll have the opportunity to make a mark by helping to shape how legal services are delivered across our business. You'll be involved in a wide range of contracts and commercial matters, with exposure to intellectual property, privacy and compliance issues.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Commercial and Product teams, work directly with senior leaders and engage with customers and support the Board and its committees via the General Counsel, giving you exposure across the breadth of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, pragmatic and solutions-focused legal advice across commercial law, contract negotiation, intellectual property, privacy and risk management.
  • Review, draft and negotiate customer and supplier agreements.
  • Maintain and enhance our suite of legal templates, tools and precedents.
  • Contribute to the legal risk framework and support compliance with relevant regulatory obligations.
  • Support senior leaders in managing external legal providers and ensuring value for money.
  • Assist with the management of our IP portfolio, including trademarks and licensing agreements.
Requirements
  • A qualified legal practitioner with an unrestricted practising certificate (or eligible in ACT)
  • Minimum 5 years post-admission experience, preferably in both private practice and in-house
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial law, contract negotiation and risk management.
