Role Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced clinician to lead continuous improvement initiatives, provide evidence-based practice, and work collaboratively with the team.


The successful candidate will be located on the Lower Mid-North Coast in close proximity to Forster and Taree, surrounded by picturesque mountains, pristine beaches, or tranquil rainforest trails to explore in free time.


As a Senior Clinician, you will interact with clients who have challenges with alcohol and/or other drug use and are engaged in the Local Court Systems for a maximum of 12 weeks. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives while providing evidence-based practice to clients presenting to the program.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the MERIT program and provide evidence-based practice to clients presenting to the program.
  • Collaborate with MERIT colleagues and the wider Health Service teams to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Provide client-centred care with professional boundaries, empathy, active listening, and clear directions.
