Digital Innovation Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital Innovation Product Delivery Manager to help drive digital initiatives from proof-of-concept through to pilot and scale.

This role combines the product mindset of a Product Owner with the delivery discipline of a Project Manager, requiring a unique blend of skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple digital initiatives simultaneously, guiding projects from prototype development through to handover.
  • Shape problem statements, value propositions, and success measures to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Apply Human Centred Design approaches to validate solutions with real users, ensuring that digital innovations meet user needs.
  • Run agile ceremonies (planning, showcases, retros) to keep delivery on track and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Act as the link between sponsors, subject matter experts, and delivery teams, facilitating collaboration and communication.
  • Provide evidence for business cases and guide transition-to-scale decisions, ensuring that digital initiatives are strategically aligned.
  • Maintain transparent reporting dashboards and recommend next steps (progress, pivot, pause), enabling informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in product management, project delivery, or both, with experience working in fast-paced, experimental environments.
  • Practical use of Human Centred Design and agile delivery methods, with a focus on user-centred design and collaborative working practices.
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with rapid change, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to balance user value, delivery risk, and strategic alignment, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality digital innovations.
