Job Title: Oral Health Specialist About the Role

You will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care services to patients, including emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics.

In this role, you will collaborate with senior dental officers, medical officers, nursing officers and specialist dental providers to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and experience through provision of high-quality dental services.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to stay up-to-date with latest clinical practices and guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements:
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recent participation in CPD activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
