Job Overview

This is a permanent full-time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the pharmacy department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the aseptic manufacture of products in the sterile department, training rotational technician staff and intern pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture sterile medications following clean room procedures and aseptic technique
  • Assist senior pharmacists with rostering to ensure the correct skill mix for each day's manufacturing
  • Supervise cleaning and sterilising equipment and work areas

What You'll Achieve

Contribute to the production of high-quality sterile medications
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
Support staff development and training

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Prior experience working in a sterile unit
  • Prior experience with training staff
  • A suitable hospital pharmacy technician course (Certificate III or IV), or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Merlin and Epic systems
