Head of eResearch and Specialised Advisory

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our eResearch and Specialised Advisory team at Griffith University. As the Head of eResearch and Specialised Advisory, you will play a critical role in enabling the University's research and innovation strategy by improving research capability, quality, and impact through the optimal use of enterprise and cloud ICT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of specialists to provide strategic technology advice and training, deliver platforms of strategic benefit, and enhance products and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other Heads and Product Managers across Digital Solutions to improve our products, frameworks, methods, and tools.
- Develop and manage eResearch services to the University research community, including data management practices and maturity.
- Provide strategic advice to the university in the areas of eResearch infrastructure and initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of projects of national significance, working closely with the Product Manager of Research and Specialised Platforms.
- A collaborative leader with a strong track record of guiding and coaching teams to develop capability and expertise in requirements gathering and analysis, project management, solution design, innovative problem solving, and strategic thinking.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to researching emerging trends and practices.
- Broad specialist knowledge across the range of research disciplines, with the ability to quickly understand and solve complex problems.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislations and policies impacting research, data management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
