About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Expert to join our team as a Local Sourcing Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost management for our operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess business needs and develop sourcing plans and strategies focusing on transportation, logistics services, and engineering services.
  • Conduct market research, supplier evaluation, and performance management to identify and select optimal suppliers that align with business objectives.
  • Manage the full sourcing process, including business partnering, sourcing process, supplier engagement, negotiations, and contracting to ensure alignment with business plans and category strategies.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance and high performance of suppliers, managing supplier risk and relationships, building strategic supplier relationships, and resolving issues with suppliers.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a preference for road transport and logistics experience.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract management, with familiarity with matrix organizational structures being an advantage.
  • Analytical abilities: Comfortable with data analytics and strong research skills to evaluate spend, market, suppliers, and present business cases and recommendations.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong negotiations and influencing skills, relationship building skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and resilience in problem-solving.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to manage competing priorities and make/drive decision-making or judgements in complex situations.
What We Offer

Air Liquide offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
