Job Summary

MARS Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Contract Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting regional teams with contract management activities, including development and administration related to Operations contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Assist in the creation and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Framework Development: Collaborate with the Contracts Coordinator and Commercial Manager to develop the Contracts Management Framework.
  • Document Management: Provide document management support for contract management to the Commercial Operations team.
  • Tender and Contract Preparation: Prepare tender and contract documentation for minor works contracts using established templates, in accordance with authority levels.
  • Contract Execution: Work with the Operations and Commercial Operations teams to execute contracts and ensure adherence to the Procurement Policy and contractual requirements for minor contracts.
  • Invoice Review: Assist in reviewing invoices to ensure compliance with contract rates and aid in the preparation of relevant journals.
  • Leave Coverage: Provide coverage for the High Wide Loads function during leave periods.
  • General Support: Offer general contract administration support and leave coverage to the Commercial Operations team.
Requirements
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of contract governance principles.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Contract Administration Experience: Proven experience in contract and accounts administration, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Action-Oriented: Highly action-oriented, approaching new opportunities and challenges with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, capable of delivering clear messages tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused, dedicated to building strong relationships and providing customer-centric solutions.
  • Task Prioritization: Effective at planning and prioritizing tasks to align with organizational objectives.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge and understanding of the energy industry in Western Australia.
  • Formal Qualifications: Currently holds or is pursuing formal qualifications in Business, contract administration, or management.
  • Commercial Contract Experience: Experience in managing commercial contracts or a strong familiarity with commercial contracts and power purchase agreements.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and others.

Qualification: Qualification (Diploma or advanced diploma) in Business administration or related discipline preferred.
