We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our Youth Enhanced Support Service (YESS) team at Uniting in Penrith.

About the Role

The YESS Clinician will provide comprehensive, evidence-based clinical case management, psychological and psychosocial interventions to young people accessing the service. This is an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team consisting of psychologists, RNs, OTs, Mental Health Social Workers, and support staff.

  • This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of young people and their families, providing high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing mental health assessments, including completion of mental state examination, risk assessment, case formulations, and individual treatment planning.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate treatment plans for each young person in collaboration with young people, families, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide high-quality care and support to young people and their families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Approved tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work with full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership with the AASW.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience of clinical practice in the mental health field (excluding placements) within a high-quality triage, assessment, and evidence-based psychological interventions setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate a comprehensive bio-psychosocial approach and interventions to meet the needs of clients.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain documentation of clinical care and actively contribute to clinical review processes and planning for clients within a recovery framework.

Location

This role is based in Penrith, with the option to work from home one day per week.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $83,000 - $110,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
