About the Role

A well-established family-owned company with a strong presence in the market is seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Operations Director to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will provide leadership and direction to the business, encompassing sales, administration, operations, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operational requirements of the business, including client liaison, administration, invoicing, and accounts.
  2. Monitor and Achieve KPIs: Constantly monitor and achieve formal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the business is meeting its objectives.
  3. Manage Scheduling and Workflow: Manage day-to-day scheduling and workflow to ensure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and within compliance standards.
  4. Manage Budgets and Costs: Manage budgets and costs to ensure effective management of individual projects and the business.
  5. Purchasing and Inventory Control: Oversee purchasing and inventory control to ensure the business has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
  6. Manage Office Supplies: Manage office supplies to ensure the business has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
  7. Build Customer Relationships: Build strong customer relationships through face-to-face visits with key clients.
  8. Deliver Strategic Objectives: Deliver the long-term strategic objectives of the business, while empowering your team to deliver on the short and mid-term objectives of the business.
Requirements
  1. Proven Leadership Experience: Proven experience effectively leading multi-skilled teams, preferably in the electrical, logistics, or service industry.
  2. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Entrepreneurially minded, with a passion for achieving targets and driving business growth.
  3. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Superior organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills to handle this dynamic and demanding role.
  4. Effective Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Effective communicator and problem solver, with the ability to turn problems into opportunities.
  5. Strong Communication Skills: Strong, effective, and professional communication skills, both verbally and written.
  6. Highly Organized: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  7. Ability to Remain Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and make sound decisions.
  8. Ability to Meet Targets: Ability to successfully meet profit, growth, and revenue targets.
  9. Management Experience: Management experience within the Business to Business service industry and operational/sales background would be an advantage.
  10. Desirable Qualifications: 2+ years managing the day-to-day operations of a service industry business/branch is highly desirable.
