Transformation Leader, Excellence and Future Readiness

We are seeking a visionary executive leader to drive transformational change and enable excellence in our organisation. This pivotal role will shape the future of food safety for Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

As Transformation Leader, you will oversee the core enabling functions of our agency – including stakeholder engagement, governance, finance, HR, ICT, legal, communications, risk and security. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing branch of around 40 staff in Canberra, driving organisational transformation and building capability.

You will bring proven success in leading diverse teams and functions in complex or regulated settings. Experience in driving organisational transformation and building capability is essential. Strong governance and risk expertise, with an understanding of digital and workforce transformation, is also required.

A collaborative leadership style that builds culture, capability and trust is crucial for this role. You will be expected to champion a culture of excellence, inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive transformational change to align corporate functions with our new legislative framework and strategic direction.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead digital enablement, governance and workforce capability to strengthen productivity and resilience.
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive to set organisational strategy and deliver on our mission.
  • Ensure effective governance, probity and risk management across all enabling functions.
