About You

You're a proactive, detail-oriented financial professional who thrives in dynamic, deadline-driven settings. With experience in accounting principles, you have a solid foundation in accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, month-end processes, and fixed asset maintenance. You bring accuracy, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle high transaction volumes. Ideally, you'll also have proficiency with accounting software, advanced Excel skills, and experience in the logistics industry.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the Financial Accountant with a range of accounting tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Managing daily bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining and tracking fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
  • Supporting financial reporting and analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards

What We Offer

This is a contract role with an immediate start and will run until February. The role requires 3 days in the office and allows for 2 days of work from home. Our offices are modern, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and offer a hybrid working arrangement. Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also have proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Experience in the aviation or logistics industry would be an advantage. A competitive salary of AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum is on offer, depending on experience.
