Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Western Health. As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our mental health services.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to patients with mental health conditions, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Completed a postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing.
- A minimum of 12 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment, and evidence-based interventions.
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a 7-day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights).
- Possess excellent clinical skills.
