Reliability and Scalability Expert

At our organization, we're committed to creating an exceptional cloud gaming experience for our customers. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering this vision.

As a Reliability and Scalability Expert, you'll be responsible for leading technical discussions around ongoing improvements in reliability and scalability. You'll work closely with our engineers to prioritize reliability improvements, address technical debt, and reduce toil.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-level designs for new products and platforms
  • Mentoring junior SRE staff to enable their success
  • Leading incident response and post-mortem activities within your assigned service team

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development and/or Linux systems administration
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Availability for on-call rotation

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • Proficiency as a Linux production systems engineer, with experience managing large-scale web services infrastructure
  • Development experience in one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Experience with distributed data storage at scale, NoSQL at scale, data aggregation technologies, scaling traditional RDBMS, monitoring and alerting, Kubernetes, and software distribution
