Accounting Expert Role

This is a pivotal position in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, enabling effective decision-making by business stakeholders through delivering timely and insightful analysis.

As an Accounting Expert, you will leverage your critical thinking capabilities to reimagine existing accounting processes; challenge the status quo to innovate and utilize tools to improve operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve transparency and uplift self-serve capabilities.

  • Monthly accounting and assurance reporting and analysis: completion of P&L and Balance Sheet assurance activities including producing timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis to proactively manage financials; balance sheet reconciliations and open item management, with a focus on insights into actions.
  • Process Management and Continuous Improvement: support streamlining of accounting processes through innovation and leverage tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic / Operational initiatives: support various strategic and operational initiatives (e.g., reconciliation uplift and automation).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with various stakeholders including finance and IT to ensure alignment and provide financial/accounting support for projects and ongoing financial management.
  • Compliance and Governance: support audit and governance-related activities. Ensure that all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining strong internal controls and governance.
  • Leverage your analytical skills to undertake high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis, building subject matter expertise through active thought leadership, to provide insights into key decisions.

About You:

  • Collaborating and partnering with stakeholders.
  • In-depth technical accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in financial systems and IT tools/processes to optimize data analysis, transformation, and reporting.
  • Critical and analytical thinking.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to gather data, analyze information, and translate analysis into actions and decisions.
  • Business acumen.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Hold or working towards CA/CPA qualification.
