Australian Unity is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Aboriginal Community Care Worker to join our team in providing culturally appropriate in-home support to our aged Elders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, to support our clients' independence and well-being.
- Offer social support, such as accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and social outings, to promote their mental and emotional health.
- Perform personal care duties, including showering, feeding, and toileting, to ensure our clients' physical needs are met.
- Assist with safety practices and client awareness, including manual handling, driver awareness, and social interactions, to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- A current Australian driver's license and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle.
- Vaccination for COVID-19 (2 doses).
- Live within a 15-20km radius to ensure a convenient commute.
- A stable roster and opportunity to work extra hours based on our clients' needs.
