Job Description

The Community Service Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading a team of Support Workers and Volunteers to deliver high-quality services that empower individuals to stay independent in their own homes and connected to their local community.

This role involves fostering strong, professional relationships with clients and their support networks, ensuring seamless coordination of services that meet individual needs. As the central point of contact, the Community Service Coordinator oversees the navigation of relevant support, facilitating positive outcomes for clients.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Gungahlin, ACT office.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary or diploma qualification in a relevant field, such as Aged Care, Health, Business, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Two or more years' experience in supervising a team, nurturing them through ambiguity and change.
  • Experience in the Aged Care and/or Health environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of client needs, converting these into effective service delivery outcomes.
  • Able to apply critical thinking skills, with the client at the forefront.
  • Effective planning and management of resources.
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for social change and contributing to an organisation that supports vulnerable members of society.
  • Proficient in using multiple computer applications, with a willingness to learn new systems/programs.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
