Maternity Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our healthcare team as a Maternity Care Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical maternity services that include antenatal care, postnatal community-based visits, and early parenting and childbirth education classes.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring approach, and the ability to work independently in a rural setting. A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive and safe evidence-based practice across a range of contexts
- Performing self-assessment of scope of practice and competence related to assigned responsibilities
- Being accountable for the care provided and for their own actions within the scope of practice
Required Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing personal and professional development
- Driver's License valid in Victoria
- Established capacity or enthusiasm to gain capacity for working within rural health settings
- Experience or willingness to learn community midwifery skills
