Senior Business Leader

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Business Leader to join our growing Business Advisory & Tax Services team in the Gold Coast.

This leadership role involves taking ownership of a diverse client portfolio, providing expert advice on complex tax and business matters, and playing a key role in guiding and developing a high-performing team.

About the Role

In this senior position, you will manage and strengthen a diverse portfolio of client relationships, oversee workflow planning and ensure timely delivery of engagements, provide expert advice on tax matters and technical business issues, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence, and support the firm's strategic initiatives and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service.
  • Workflow Planning: Plan and manage workflows to ensure efficient delivery of engagements and meet client expectations.
  • Tax and Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on tax matters and technical business issues to clients and the team.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Culture and Excellence: Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the team and across the organization.
  • Business Growth: Support the firm's strategic initiatives and contribute to business growth through innovative thinking and solution-focused approaches.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in public practice, ideally within a mid-tier or reputable firm.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
  • Proven strategic thinker with sound technical knowledge.
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset and results-driven attitude.
