General Management Opportunity

A business leader is sought to drive the next phase of growth for this established, highly profitable manufacturing entity.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to be an autonomous business leader, with the support of a larger group. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage and oversee the success of business operations, develop and execute strategic operational plans, and lead and manage a team of circa 40 people.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Being hands-on in managing and overseeing the success of business operations.
  • Development and execution of the business's strategic operational plan.
  • Reviewing and improving organisational effectiveness by developing internal processes, overseeing employees, and establishing a high-performance work environment.
  • Leading and managing the office and manufacturing team to ensure they are performing their duties optimally.
  • Promoting, managing, and leading a safe working culture for all employees.
  • Improving overall production efficiency by optimizing processes, reducing waste, and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Complying with all relevant legislation, statutory requirements, working procedures, codes of practice, and industry standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be tertiary qualified in a business discipline. You will have a proven track record in manufacturing and general management, with knowledge across manufacturing, continuous/process improvement practices, sales, HR, operations, and communications.

Experience of having worked your way up through a manufacturing or distribution business, or having run a factory/manufacturing business, would be key to your success in this role. Experience in similar manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

You must be a people leader who instils loyalty and inspires others to be better. You are values-driven and happy to be hands-on and show others how to get things done.
