Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated HC drivers to join our Intermodal business unit in Cairns, QLD. As an HC driver, you will be responsible for safely delivering various products from our rail operations to local customers. This role requires driving commitment to Linfox's Safety Standards, complying with coupling and uncoupling procedures, and working unsupervised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving Commitment: Safely operate vehicles and trailers, adhering to Linfox's Safety Standards and Vision Zero principles.
  • Coupling and Uncoupling Procedure: Comply with established procedures to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods.
  • Assisting with Loading and Unloading: Assist team members when required to load and unload goods from trailers.
  • Road Transport Legislation: Familiarize yourself with Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, managers, and customers on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Current HC License: Possess a current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) license.
  • Safety Record: Demonstrate a history of safe work practices and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Knowledge of Local Area: Familiarity with the Cairns metro area and surrounding regions is essential.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work across weekdays and some weekends as required.
