Investment Portfolio Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Portfolio Analyst to join our team.

This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in data management processes.

  • Provide analytical support for investment implementation activities, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.
  • Assist the Head of Fund Implementation in executing portfolio management decisions, including asset allocation and investment manager changes.
  • Coordinate daily portfolio exposure management activities, including asset allocation rebalancing, liquidity forecasting, and monitoring of derivative overlays.
  • Collaborate with investment operations to maintain an accurate implementation pipeline and ensure best-practice execution of investment decisions.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for the business, contributing to data infrastructure and analytics.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in an appropriate analytical discipline such as finance, economics, or mathematics.
  • 5-7 years of investment industry experience, with a strong emphasis on derivatives and derivative overlay strategies.
  • Experience in portfolio construction for multi-manager portfolios, including the use of derivatives for risk management and performance enhancement.
