About the Role

The Clean Energy Regulator is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Branch leadership team, you will play a critical role in effectively communicating the work of the CER within the organisation and to industry/scheme stakeholders and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and set the strategic direction and work practices for the Corporate Communications Section, developing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team to promote excellence in service and foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, and accountability.
  • Provide expert advice and support to the agency executive on corporate communication opportunities and risks, including for complex or sensitive matters.
  • Work closely with the agency executive, internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver innovative, evidence-based, high-quality communication solutions and products that enhance user experience.
  • Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CER and APS processes and relevant policy priorities impacting the agency.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent people skills, including the ability to build and nurture productive working relationships in a complex environment.
  • Effective time management and coordination skills to manage multiple work streams and changing priorities, and the capacity to manage competing demands to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to think creatively and take an innovative approach to resolving complex issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail, complemented by sound judgement and the ability to build organisational capability.
