Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced anaesthetic technician/nurse to join our team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Patient care with a focus on anaesthesia and equipment maintenance
  • Providing competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in routine and emergency situations
  • Maintaining patient safety and ensuring the correct positioning of patients

You will also be responsible for:

  • Daily maintenance of anaesthetic equipment
  • Orienting and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers
  • Cooperating with preceptorship of student technicians and new caregivers
  • Acting as an anaesthetic resource for caregivers

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate IV and/or Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology
  • Additional competencies relevant to the individual workplace
  • Knowledge of standards of practice relevant to your position
  • At least one to two years' clinical experience
  • Current registration with AHPRA for Enrolled or Registered Nurses
