Overview

Anaesthetic Nurse / Anaesthetic Technician role at Healthscope. Mount Hospital opportunities available on a part-time and full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Anaesthetist as directed with ongoing care of the patient throughout the intra-operative phase.
  • Prepares all required equipment, ensuring correct functioning, for allocated operating lists.
  • Maintains and develops clinical skills in order to manage patient health problems appropriate to competency level.
  • Ensures high standard of patient care, utilising appropriate resources cost effectively.
  • Functions within legal and registration constraints in relation to anaesthetic practice.
  • Recognises hazards to patient safety and takes the appropriate action.
  • Uses hospital equipment and other resources correctly and efficiently and acts in accordance with work health and safety requirements.
About You

You will have a minimum of 12-month experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Cert IV in Anaesthetic Technology.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision.
  • Flexibility with rostering and commitment to teamwork.
