About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Library Technician to join our Community Learning team at Blacktown City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, information services, and digital literacy support to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide information services and digital literacy support to customers
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of community learning programs
  • Assist with the maintenance of library collections and resources
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Diploma or equivalent in Library and Information Studies
  • Experience in customer service and information provision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of digital literacy and ability to use technology to support customer needs
