About the Role

UGL is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer – O&M to join our New Energy O&M team. As a Commissioning Engineer – O&M, you will be responsible for the planning, management, testing, and handover of various site commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute commissioning activities in line with project requirements.
  • Verify that plant and systems are installed and functioning as per the design specifications.
  • Identify and rectify defects during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and manage commissioning documentation, including plans, schedules, ITPs, and check sheets.
  • Provide technical support in resolving design or installation issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, non-conformances, and other administrative reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in commissioning protection equipment, including transmission circuit protection, generator protection, and transformer protection.
  • Proficiency in commissioning control systems (RTUs, HMI, PLC, SCADA).
  • Strong experience in fault tracing and rectification of hardwired circuits.
  • Familiarity with commissioning of DC/AC ancillary systems, including UPS, battery chargers, and inverters.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
