Health and Safety Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the development and implementation of strategic WHS projects aligned with our Health and Safety Strategy.
This leadership role will manage a team of safety professionals and support the delivery of key safety initiatives across business operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with other operations and group functional leaders & teams to drive positive health & safety cultural and business transformation.
The role requires partnership with operations to deliver health and safety services and achieve WHS goals. It also involves leading critical risk verification audits, developing and monitoring WHS management plans, providing training and support, and promoting a strong safety culture through the Work Safe, Home Safe approach.
You will need to lead investigations and reporting of incidents, ensuring proper documentation. Conducting internal safety audits and supporting external audit participation are also essential responsibilities. Additionally, you will oversee WHS training programs and review their effectiveness.
We require a recognised occupational health and safety degree or course holder with relevant experience in managing a team and leading similar industry roles. Strong incident investigation skills and knowledge of ICAM are desirable. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the H&S field and 5 years of managing a team.
