Government Relations Role Overview

This Government Relations role sits within our Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team, responsible for developing and maintaining working relationships with key government stakeholders across state, territory, and federal governments.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing advice to our senior leadership and building their capacity to effectively engage with government to achieve our strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Providing expert advice to our Executive Leadership Team on government relations strategies and monitoring progress;">
  • Preparing meeting briefs and advice for Ministers, members of parliament, and key government departments;">
  • Working closely with our Corporate Affairs team to ensure alignment with media engagement and other public communications;">

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • ">
  • Previous experience in a similar corporate setting;">
  • 5+ years experience in a government relations advisory role in Australia;">
  • Excellent people skills and a proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships;">
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders and effect change;">
