Senior Lecturer Job Description

A senior lecturer position is available in the School of Medicine, offering a rewarding career development path with opportunities for growth and professional advancement.

About the Role

  • Work closely with the National Lead of the CCP Domain for ongoing development, coordination, and delivery of CCP curriculum and assessment across the MD program.
  • Lead the Fremantle CCP Domain in implementing the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program, including all CCP academic staff.
  • Support CCP academics in managing and training clinical skills medical educators and tutors.
  • Work with other Domain Leads, Assessment, and Medical Education Unit teams to ensure CCP learning objectives are suitably assessed and integrated with other domains.
  • Develop and mark examinations by writing and standard setting assessment questions.
  • Coordinate and manage clinical exams (OSCEs) in Fremantle across the 4 years of the MD Program.
  • Provide administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the National CCP Domain Lead in developing, coordinating, and implementing the CCP domain curriculum.
  • Lead the implementation of the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program.
  • Manage and train clinical skills medical educators and tutors.
  • Work with other Domain Leads, Assessment, and Medical Education Unit teams.
  • Develop and mark examinations.
  • Coordinate and manage clinical exams (OSCEs).
  • Provide administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Medical degree registrable with AHPRA and one of a Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health, or Medical Education OR a PhD.
  • Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and/or assessment in medical education.
  • Well-developed leadership, organisation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and learning and teaching programs.
