Strategic Business Partnership

We seek a skilled professional to shape and influence strategic decisions by Defence and Government stakeholders, drive commercial performance, and foster client engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends locally and overseas, researching business opportunities and identifying customer needs.
  • Expand and manage enduring relationships with key Defence stakeholders.
  • Contribute to win strategies specific to each capture.
  • Lead opportunity capture, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineering and innovation teams to deliver project solutions.
  • Maintain and update business development forecast using MS Dynamics.
  • Support marketing and communication plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience within the Defence Industry, ideally at mid-management level.
  • Proven success in the Australian Defence sector, preferably in Defence acquisition or sustainment projects.
  • Detailed understanding of Commonwealth and Royal Australian Navy organisation, landscape, and operational approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Defence customers at all levels.
  • Advanced problem-solving, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Miller Heiman Sales Methodologies and Shipley Methodologies.
