Job Overview

As a frontline officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires providing revenue protection, transport information, and fostering passenger and driver safety. You will engage with diverse audiences, including school children, and navigate various scenarios where quick thinking and assertiveness are essential.

Your strong communication skills will be crucial in this role, allowing you to maintain empathy while also grasping the broader perspective when dealing with difficult interactions with the public. This involves ensuring composure and adopting a customer-centric approach rather than exhibiting imposition, forcefulness, or frustration.

You will work actively in this role, constantly on your feet and in motion, traveling on the bus network and providing a presence at bus stops and transport interchanges. You will collaborate with a partner as part of a team of 25 and wear a uniform that includes a body camera.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service and assistance to passengers on local services and the broader network
  • Educate customers about products and the network
  • Participate in community engagement programs or activities
  • Ensure customers have paid for the service
  • Issue Penalty Infringement and Warning Notices
  • Enhance passenger and driver safety by maintaining a visible presence onboard services
  • Complete daily reports on activities and incidents
