About the Role

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to support the establishment of the Medicare Mental Health Centre in Wagga Wagga. This position reports to the Service Manager and offers the opportunity to provide immediate intervention and support to consumers experiencing crisis or significant distress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine care needs and collaboratively develop care plans with consumers and their support networks.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological strategies to consumers, either individually or in group settings.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and external service providers to deliver integrated care.

Requirements

  • Current or working towards AHPRA registration (Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist) or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.
  • The ability to engage effectively with consumers and their families/carers to conduct assessments, coordinate care, and provide referral support.
  • Proven skills in delivering holistic, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the capability to work independently when needed.
