Job Description

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating freight movement through the supply chain across all modes of transportation. This includes quoting, tendering, and load planning for North American freight. The ideal candidate will have strong transportation expertise and be able to provide exceptional service to internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight Management: Facilitate freight movements through the supply chain to support the company's internal production and customer order demand.
  • Carrier Coordination: Communicate with internal and external partners on carrier selection, routing, and management to ensure proper execution of transportation goals.
  • Problem Resolution: Provide problem resolution for internal and external business partners.
  • Performance Metrics: Responsible for the performance of key metrics, including on-time delivery, on-time shipment, and various cost components.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to focus on process improvement relative to on-time delivery performance, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of various TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, such as SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-driven work ethic, and ability to solve cross-functional problems.
